Many customers have bespoke requirements, or particular pieces of information or context that need to be factored into how their orders are processed. While Business Central allows for notes to be stored against a customer record, there's no easy way to access these notes from a customer's sales order.


My suggestion is for a "Alert on Sales Order" flag that can be applied to notes on a customer card. This will then trigger a pop-up, or banner, or some other accessible pane on the sales order where those relevant notes can be viewed. Being able to make the method of alert configurable so users can select how intrusive they want the information to be would be important to build in. Some users will want an in-your-face pop-up when the document is opened, while others might just want a ribbon at the top of the page they can open to check the notes.


When you have hundreds of customers with different requirements, this kind of functionality is a godsend!
