I couldn't find this specific idea, so maybe there's already a good workaround. However, we frequently generate new leads from our webinars and want to nuture them as a marketing leads before they are qualified and a new contact is created. We would like to see these leads in our marketing events, but it only supports contacts.

We would like the default behavior of Event Registrations in Dynamics to be altered. Currently, when no existing contact match is found, the system automatically creates a new contact. This allows anyone to register and gain access to events that are intended solely for existing clients, which compromises access control and data integrity. A preferred solution would introduce a triage step, allowing registrants to be reviewed before a contact record is created and registration is confirmed. This mirrors the logic already available in marketing forms, where the creation of new contacts can be disabled if no match is found. If feasible, this functionality should be incorporated to Event Registration forms as a configurable option to support scenarios where stricter access control is essential.

We have 2 customers who need this functionality. They host events as a way to generate new Leads so they need the ability to generate and nurture new Leads from Event Registrations. They also would like to capture some 'Lead' specific details on an Event Registration form. These are Lead / Opportunity specific details such as budget, purchase timeframe, etc. which should not be captured on the Contact.

I agree and would like to see a full integration of leads into the Event Managemen Module including all the functionality like (Session and Event Registration (Real-Time-Forms), E-Mailintegration and the integration into to the segmentation criteria (ex. lead registered for event).Most of the processes our customers have are lead driven like Fair Trades, Webcasts and Webinars, open house and custom events.This is a must have.Kind regards

I totally agree to Mark,in my company we need to setup the event planning based on leads because of our sales process and current definitions. Additionally, Event registration forms and E-Mail functions ("add to calender" and "Teams meeting" in buttons) are not available for leads.We hope to get help soon!Best regardsValentin
