Shared mailboxes cannot be tracked using Dynamics 365 App for Outlook.
You can track emails sent to mailboxes for which the user has delegate permissions, but not from shared mailboxes.
Therefore, having this feature will increase convenience for many users.

We have built a CRM on Dynamics 365 and have many business units that want to sit their domain under the tenant and then use shared mailboxes for their business process. Limitation to only individual users being able to track emails is stopping our users from the full uptake of the CRM.

I agree. This is a limitation but it will be fantastic if we can use shared mailbox for business units with different purposes.
