We have had to customize our AX to search products by EAN-code. Codes are used to distinguish
products from each other. For example in fashion EAN code distinguishes every product variant from each other.
Every variant (size,color,style etc) gets it own code. By this code we make sure that searched product is relevant.
This EAN code is widely used with retailers / suppliers.
EAN-code search is needed in these typical scenarios:

-Product search from released items
-Product search + adding to salesline
-Product search + adding to offer
-Product search + adding to transfer order
-Product search + adding to purchase order
-Product search from POS
-Product search + adding to inventory adjustment journal
