Currently the functionality profile on the store determines whether or not the user is required to enter starting amounts and tender declarations before closing the shift.

However if some of the registers in my store do not have a cash drawer connected and never will, the system still requires them and blocks from closing a shift on the register.

The ability to override by register would be greatly appreciated as it is currently an all or nothing process

Agreed, cash free registers is common, this along with blocking of payment methods per register should be viable as there are ways to bypass the payment options by clicking on the sum button even if cash button is removed.
