Throughout the Business central software, especially when it comes to warehousing. BC tends to throw some rather generic unhelpful error messages which do nothing to guide the user to fix the problem. Meaning that they instantly have to ring their NAV/BC partner to discover what it is that they are doing wrong.

I'm talking about error messages like:

"Nothing to post"

"Nothing to handle"

BC needs to give more than "it doesn't work" to its users. How about:

"Nothing to post check:

- That there is a qty to ship in your lines if applicable
- That a posting of has not already taken place for your document.
- That all warehouse functions have been carried out such as warehouse receipts/shipments and put-aways/picks
- That you have inventory in your location code, bin code or zone code for your item."

And with Nothing to handle:

"Nothing to handle check:

- That you have assigned an item tracking lot or serial number for all your items that have an item tracking code.
- That you are your lines are of type 'Item'.
- That your item inventory is in the bin or zone code you are trying to pick for if applicable.
- That put-away functions have been completed for all of your items being used in your document.
- That reservations have not reserved the inventory that you are trying to use"

This would be so much more helpful to users than these "It doesn't work"/"You're not doing it right" error messages which give no information as to what the problem is.
