With the update to Business Central version 28, the Description 2 field has been added to multiple tables and pages within the Manufacturing module. However, its availability is currently limited to line-level entities (e.g., Production BOM Lines and related components).

In contrast, the Description 2 field on the Production BOM Header (Table 99000771) is not editable and therefore cannot be used effectively at header level.

This creates an inconsistency in the data model and limits usability, as users cannot maintain extended descriptions for the BOM as a whole, only for its individual lines.

Requested improvement: Enable the Description 2 field on the Production BOM Header to be editable, aligning it with the behavior on line-level tables and ensuring consistent usage across the Manufacturing module.

This would allow users to store additional contextual or technical information at BOM header level, improving data quality and usability in production and planning scenarios.
