X++ and D365 Finance customizations are falling behind other programming languages/environments because our coding relies on a mix of text and non-text interfaces. Microsoft needs to make a textual interface for the description of tables, forms, and other AOT elements.

This will allow us to use Copilot/ChatGPT queries like:

"Add a field called "Previous name" to the CustTable and related data entities and display it to the user in the Details section of the Customer form.

or

"Starting with the table MyReasonCodes, create a form displaying the code and description using the 'Lookup' form pattern and make the form accessible in the Accounts receivable/setup menu. Allow the security roles 'Accounts receivable manager' full editing rights"
