Currently, the process of translating labels, tables, and other solution components relies on exporting and importing an Excel translation file. We manually update this file with the required translations and then import it back into the solution.
While this approach may work for smaller projects, it becomes extremely time-consuming and difficult to manage when dealing with solutions that contain thousands of rows and translation entries. Maintaining translations manually in Excel creates a significant operational burden, increases the risk of errors, and slows down development and deployment processes.
We would like to suggest a more automated and scalable approach for handling translations. Some examples of improvements that could greatly help are:
- Native integration with AI or machine translation services (such as Azure AI Translation)
- Bulk automatic translation capabilities directly within the platform
- APIs or automation workflows to manage translations programmatically
- Translation synchronization features that only process new or changed labels
- A more user-friendly translation management interface instead of relying on Excel exports/imports
As organizations increasingly manage large and multilingual solutions, the current manual process becomes a major limitation. A more automated translation experience would significantly improve productivity, reduce maintenance effort, and enhance scalability.
We would appreciate if Microsoft could consider improving this area in future updates.
