Notifications from Workflows and Alerts in D365 Finance & Operations currently include links to the related forms, but do not yet support links to specific records. Support for deep links to specific records would increase the user experience. An example is the change based alert rule email, where clicking on the embedded hyperlink in the alert message navigates to the application, but displays the default dashboard giving the following error message in the Action Centre: “The specified record query failed to apply and the form can't be opened.”
