Many organizations require employees to obtain a certain number of continuing education requests each year. Sometimes these are referred to as Continuing Professional Education (CPE) or Continuing Education Units (CEU).

Currently there is no way to track, request, review and approve these types of requests. Ideally, employees would have the ability to put the requests in from the ESS workspace and workflows could be configured to route the request for review and approval. All requests would be tracked in the system to allow for inquiry and reporting. These requests often times require attachments as proof of attendance or certification so the requests should support the ability to require attachments.

Additionally, it would be nice if you could configure parameters to indicate the total number of CPE or CEU credits that are required in a time period so that you can report on the difference of required to acquired by employee. Some organizations do not require all employees to obtain CPE or CEU so ideally you would be able to link a CPE or CEU "profile" to a worker or position to indicate what is required for each employee. When configuring this profile, it would be important to include a minimum per year as well as a total over a three year period for example. Here in the US any certified public accounting firm requires a minimum of say 20 per year but 120 total over a three year period. These credits are often times associated with categories and certifying companies such as NASBA. And the categories can be different for each certifying company.
