When using the designer, we "create" pageextensions which are then compiled into an app. The latter is automatically installed in the environment.
Some developers create tools to generate AL on the fly (definition of static interfaces, page/API creation wizards, …). I would like developers to have access to this compiler built into BC so that they can generate code in AL that will be automatically compiled and installed in the environment.
#1 use case I think of is to configure data interfaces without relying solely on RecRefs, which are not powerful enough to handle large data flows.
It would be practical to create an API generation tool that does not require an external service for its compilation
