For Project Oriented Organisations who use either the marketing features in BC or D365 Sales with integration, a Job can be as a result of an Opportunity but there is currently no link back from the Job activities and invoicing to the opportunity. By adding the Opportunity to the Job record then passing Opportunity assign to the Sales Quotes and Invoices generated from the Job, or indeed any other documents where an opportunity can be linked, a complete view of how an opportunity performs in terms of sales can be seen in the same way as any other sale.
Several clients require this function.
This seems really obvious. Users seem bemused that this is not how it works.
