I work with a few clients who need the ability to easily update work calendars for resources who have rotating availability. For example, a group of resources may work 7 days on 7 days off for a period of time and over 1-6 months, that schedule may rotate to 5 on/3off. It would be great if there was some type of native functionality to set up rotating schedules for resources which is respected within the Schedule Board.

To elaborate on my vision - When setting up a resource's calendar (or a group of resources), a scheduling manager would be able to set up calendars by time periods and associate a work calendar with that time period.
Example: Resource A has time period of 1/1/2020-2/28/2020 associated to a work calendar of 7on/7off.

Additional Requirements: The time period should be flexible, but the system should not allow overlapping time periods. There should be some type of "default" if time periods are not used.
Work Calendar's should be able to be configured by the schedule manager to accommodate rotating scheduling needs -- ie flexibility to create 7 on/2 off, 3 on/6 off, etc.

A resource calendar could be set for a specific time period - and a specified schedule rotation can be added for each time period. Therefore, a scheduling manager could update a resource's calendars to reflect 7 on/7 off for a time period of 1/1/2020-3/1/2020 and from 3/2/2020-4/30/2020 the same resource could be set for 8 on/3 off.

Hi Kayla,

Thank you for your feedback on the Rotating calendars / shifts, this is a great suggestion. This is something currently not on our roadmap, but we would definitely consider it if we get more votes.

Thanks,
