It would be great if Production BOMs and Routings could be set up by location so that the correct one comes into production based on where the item is being produced.
An idea is to do it via versions, where as you can have an active BOM version for each location, or blank for all locations.

With respect to managing rev levels in the semiconductor and medical device industry, this is a critical addition to a family of additions with respect to variant functionality in Business Central. We have a number of clients looking at BC but since it doesn't handle REV levels (variants) well, it's a problem.

The setting of the alternate Production BOMs and Routings should be set at SKU level, given that these (should) be used where planning is required either at different locations and/or variants.
The key will be ensuring that the planning function (MPS and MRP) respect these.

Yes, would be very good. We have several customers who have different BOMs &/or Routings by Location. This would give a significant benefit in Planning Worksheet by location. Attaching to the SKU give even more flexibility.
