E-mails sent from the web interface in CRM do not appear in the "Sent Items" folder in exchange online. Users can't see in Outlook, which emails have been sent from within CRM.

To have a full overview of all the conversations with a customer also the sent emails should be synced to exchange.

We also have found this to be a fairly frequent ask with server-side sync.

This a comment we get from customers almost every time the send email from dynamics feature is presented to them. A lot of them dosn't whant to send email from Dynamics only for that reason making all email engagement feature irrelevant. Please add this small feature that will have a huge impact on user adoption
