Customers that are using MHAX for boxes or pallets may want to base the putaway to the ASRS on the location stocking limits setup. The location stocking limits might need to be used in case the customer is using both the ASRS and a manual bulk area due to capacity constraints of the ASRS.
As per the current location stocking limit logic, the unique product/location(profile) combination is not taken into account which means that if the ASRS allows 1 pallet of item A and 1 pallet of item B, only one pallet of item A will be putaway to the ASRS upon registration. The second pallet will not be putaway upon registration since the system thinks that due to the current location stocking limits constraints, it can only hold one pallet.
Although the current location stocking limits approach works great for the standard manual warehouse locations it doesn't for the ASRS. As a result, the suggestion would be to create a separate locations stocking limit approach for the ASRS to support scenarios/projects where the customers is using both the ASRS and warehouse bulk locations.
