When clients use the Create-as Customer or Create-as Vendor action on the Contact Card, the new Customer and new Vendor get a number from their own No. Series. However, more and more the demand is there to use the same number for Contact, Customer and Vendor to easily see the link between them. I image a Boolean on the Marketing Setup page that disables the standard No. Series and uses the Contact No. instead should do the trick.
