When the quality order is "Open" then it will not allow us to modify PO line (such as the confirm date, change quantity, split line etc.). As I MS consultant checked and tested multiple times, both from our environment as well as Microsoft standard environment, they all behave the same.

Following our wonder that whether regardless of the status for quality order, the date of purchase order attached to it, can be modified. MS( Microsoft ) tried to have some suggestions from the PG team as well as my trusty experienced colleagues, MS cannot find a proper configuration to turn off the condition that the quality order must set to be "pass" to change any single thing in the delivery date of each item inside the Purchase Order. Unfortunately, currently there are no version of Dynamics 365 FnO supports that service, as well as no such configuration can be made to change the condition mentioned above as this is not available to edit this D365 system code.

This might not align with our expectations and this limitation is not reasonable, this function impact our purchasing process greatly. I hope MS team is aware of this drawback, MS can strive to improve system processes

This is a real issue when dealing with purchase orders with long lead-times that will have ETAs changed likely more than once due to external factors such as transshipment delays, conflicts impacting regular shipping routes, weather, etc. It shouldn't be a problem to be able to change dates and quantities simply because a Quality Order is still on open status, which by the way is generated once a Receipts List is created. Receipts List can be created well in advance depending on each business particular ways of working and, again, shouldn't be an impediment to enable PO dates to be changed.
