Segments used with sales accelerator give you the logic same as a dynamic marketing list or a M365 segment but it doesn't function dynamically with limitation of only records "modified" after the segment is created are added. I assume this would start again if we updated or edited the segment? Segments should be truly dynamic and populate instantly with any qualifying query/filter attributes without qualification of modified record date.
For contacts or leads, we want to send emails from past activity date - could be last oppty closed or case/ticket open date. However, to add them to a segment of say not bought/not completed open ticket in last 45 days or any other timed data, if there is no activity on record after the date we create the segment no historical contacts, in this case, will be added only modified records. This seems odd considering every other list or M365 segment is truly dynamics. The fix we were told was to modify a field?
In addition, I would assume that like with flows, a rollup field (what we would use to get last activity date by example) would not trigger a modification so only manual modifications would trigger the filter to lookup.
We literally have to manually run a flow or something to change a field that is recognized as modified to add them, every time we setup a flow and a basic rollup should trigger modification which defeats the purpose of dynamic segment.
This is a very large problem to adopt sequences. It will be very useful to remove the limitation of a change or modification of the record for segment to populate.
