In some user scenarios, the brick view can be a very user friendly way to display a list. This is especially true when working with the phone client or the Outlook add-in. The problem is, that we cannot change the Brick field group from an extension. We can only add to the end of it. And many tables doesn't have a Brick field group to begin with. Also the relevant fields in a brick view might differ depending on the page. For example the Contact table holds both companies and their contact persons. If you create a list of persons, it will be relevant to show the company name (and perhaps company no.) in the brick view, but if you only show companies, these fields are redundant.

For that reason, it would be very helpful, if we could define additional "brick" field groups and set them as a property on a page/pageextension.
