Basic Information:

• Business Central V25.2 onPremise

• Users access via WebBrowser, no Business Central Clients installed. Problem is not Browser-specific, printing does not work through any browser.

• The problem is not dependant on Standard- or Custom Reports. Does not work in general.

Printer Installation:

• All Printers are installed local on the Business Central Server with printer rights for everyone.

• Because of that, they are available in Business Central Printer Management: Printers cannot be setup manually, Business Central reads out the local installed printers automatically.

• So as it does: Communication between Business Central and Windows is working in that direction.

• As there are many Printers needed for different Users and Reports, Printer Selection is Setup.

Printing via Codeunit Rreport-Runs:

• We have an Extension where on a few Processes Reports are printed automatically, e.g. Warehouse Labels. 

• This Printings are processed with AL-Function REPORT.RUN without opening Request Page, but with searching for correct Printer through the Printer Selection Page.

• All of this Report.Runs without Request Page work - for every user and printing on the correct printers directly.

• So in this case, the communciation from Business Central to send the printers printing jobs works!

Printing Reports with Request Page:

• When starting a Report with Request Page, the Printer is suggested by printer selection correctly.

• But when Print-Button is pushed, a pdf-file is created (which is - I think - default behaviour for printer is not found)

• So in this case, the same printers, where printing via Codeunit is possible, are not found / accessible / any other technical problem for Business Central, so printing does not work.

• Default Browser Printing works: So it can be chosen process through Browser and then choose the correct Printer. But the users do print on more than one printer, because they e.g. print labels and lists for warehouse workers, too. So they really have to search for the correct Printers. Because of that, Process of Browser Printing takes too much time.

• What has to be done that printing also works with opening the Request Page?
