Dear Microsoft, When clicking the 'Register now' button with an empty shopping cart, the website adds all the available sessions to the shopping cart before registration. We would like to be able to register for an event, without selecting a session. This registration would then create an Event Registration without any Session registrations. In the current set-up the user has to delete all the available sessions from the shopping cart. This is a nuisance for the user aswell besides not being able to 'just' register for the event as described above.

The "Register Now" button is really huge stumbling block in our leveraging our portal for online event registrations. We just want people to choose Sessions one at a time. Give us the option to turn the Register Now button off.

Hi! If you'd like to just register for the event and not for the sessions, you can set the "Allow registrants to create their own agenda" flag for the event to "No" - that way, the shopping cart will vanish, and you would be able to register for the event without registering for any sessions.

If you'd like to change that behavior (and still keep the custom agenda) - I would recommend that you modify the website to cater for the use case. The Angular site that ships out of the box is a sample site, and we encourage you to leverage the customization.
