There is a commercial invoice that can be printed from the Shipments form in Dynamics 365. It is not a financial document per se, instead it is used by Customs to assess the duty charges for that shipment.
The commercial invoice should be formatted so that it looks like a proper business document instead of a report, and should be able to have Print management applied so that it can be automatically emailed to the customer, customs agent, or whatever other print management options used by our customers.
In addition, as electronic reporting is available now for most other business documents (enabling the customer to format the document using Word or Excel templates) this should be included.
Many Dynamics 365 customers export their goods, so adding this feature would save time and money for each customer.

I would add to this that the commercial invoice availability should be decoupled from Transport management, so that it can be generated by those users who have not or will not implement transport management. Making it available as an ER business document template would mean you could tailor it as required.
