Currently, if I needed to create a System View that showed Sales Revenue by Sales Rep "This Week" that would be very simple.

Most of the time however, when creating these views you must create multiple views to simply show Last Week, Next Week, Last Month, Year To Date etc also.

In some deployments this can mean you end up with 40 views in a particular entity as they require many variations/configurations.

What I am suggesting as a feature enhancement is that when designing any System or Personal View you are able to specify one of the key Filter Criteria as a "UI Operable Parameter", that is I could specify the TIME factor of my views as changeable in real-time by the end-user through the UI.

When a user is presented with a view such as Sales Revenue by Sales Rep over TIME they have the option of selecting "This Quarter, Last Quarter, This Week, Last Week" and any of the many options given as standard when designing the view.

This would de-clutter many Entity View scenarios but also giving the end-user an ability they often can't work out why isn't there already.

This feature could also be used to specify another parameter instead such as Owner so that one view setup to show Sales Performance, could be toggled between different Sales Reps on the fly.

This would be best if it could work on FORMS, and DASHBOARDS. In fact it would also be a great enhancement to CHARTS also.
