Dynamics 365 Marketing lacks a separate entity for the topic of campaigns with its own functions. Companies want to trace all activities (across all applications such as sales, service and marketing) back to one campaign. This campaign has a name and is classified (type of campaigns, goals, planned time, effective time, budget, approval process, campaign team, owner, etc.).
Below this are all the customer journeys, scoring models, events, etc., which can be traced back to the campaigns.
In a further step, one would like to be able to view and evaluate these campaigns analytically. Have the goals been reached? How many interactions have been achieved? Through which channels? All the way to the conversion of Lead2Oppty, Lead2Customer, turnover, etc.
ClickDimensions but also Salesforce offer these entities in their marketing solutions. We can configure them ourselves, but actually it belongs in the standard.

Ideally this would be the existing camaign entity that is still part of the "in-app marketing" of the sales app.

This way users of the sales app can also link opportunities to these marketing campaigns to achieve a correct revenu attribution.

Agree! This is a really important feature. Need to be able to track campaign performance, attribute leads etc.

Definitely required to measure overall campaign ROI based on lead to opportunity to order conversion.
