Customers sometimes post large numbers of general ledger lines or perform MRP after business hours. If a hotfix will be applied to their environment when those processes are running, they will re-run and complete later than usual. Hence, they encounter situations where some processes are running at the start of their business hours. For such customers, if there is "hotfix pause feature" that users can pause or postpone hotfix apply to the environment, it would allow them to avoid this issue.

A good alternative or at least a workaround could be to have a shorter upgrade window. Right now 6 hours are needed, and if you need to run overnight processes that are long there's simply not enough hours to have the calculation plus the upgrade.
