The 'Change location' button on the Load screen allows the user to set a Staging location and final 'Put' location (Final shipping location) for a selected Work Id.

The functionality can be used when it is not appropriate for a Location directive to determine the staging or final shipping location.

However, the 'Change location' function does not allow you to set a Staging location if the staging location on the work is <blank>, and it does not allow you to set a Final shipping location if the location of the last Put on the work is <blank>. In these scenarios, it throws this Infolog info message 'No locations could be changed. Either no %1 locations were found for the load, or the work has already been executed or cancelled.'

This means to use the function you have to either set 'dummy' locations on the Work, or configure the location directives to set one of the real staging/final shipping locations. With either workaround, there is the risk that a user will not set the desired staging or final shipping location before the Work is completed. In this case, the picker may well move the items to the dummy location or wrong 'real' location without realising it.

It would be much better if the 'Change location' function worked when the staging / final shipping location on the Work is <blank>. In these cases, should the picker action the work before a staging or final shipping location had been set, they would discover this during picking (because there would be no Put location when one was expected), and appropriate action could be taken.
