Unlike emails, appointment cannot be saved in a draft mode. Once you hit Save button, appointment is sent to the recipients. The request from business is to have separate buttons for ‘Save’ and ‘Send’. Also, ‘Attach File’ button is available for emails during record creation, however in Appointments, user has to first save the record (which will send the appointment) and then attach a file with the saved record.

On top of that, also the @mentioned people receive the invite before it really was sent. This idea is actually a really annoying issue, that's been bothering our customer for quite a while and is now driving bad commentaries about the MS platform.Being really proud of all MS products, I hope this can be improved a soon as possible.

We agree, customers that are actively using the outlook connector are tracking appointments during the creation of the Outlook meeting invite. Because Dynamics does not know the draft concept, the invite is immediately sent out from Dynamics 365 - often containing incomplete information in the invite. When the Outlook invite is completed, shortly after, this is sending an update or a duplicate invitation.Although this is a flaw in the design, this is not considered as a bug by Microsoft: there is a "isdraft" boolean column existing on the CRM appointment table - but this is not being set/updated from Outlook. So it would be good that this is updated in the design to provide a correct behaviour.
