When an opportunity is synched from CRM (D365 for Sales) to Business Central, only the description and the contact no. can be copied from CRM to the (new) opportunity in BC.
This means the opportunity is created in BC as 'not started', regardless the status in CRM.
That also means the opportunity (first stage) has to be activated in BC to be able to i.e. create a sales quote, and when activating, the user must fill in the estimated value and estimated closing date, which they might already have entered in CRM.

It would be nice to include the estimated value and estimated closing date in the integration, and activate the first stage (or actual stage) of the opportunity in BC.

This would take away the feeling users have now that they're doing things twice.

A good integration between Opportunities in D365 Sales and Opportunities in Business Central is also what I am missing. I agree that the opportunity entity in Business Central is missing a lot of fields from Dynamics 365 Sales, and to me it feels like the D365 Sales Opportunity and Business Central Opportunity are completely separate entities, even though some sort of integration is possible. This leaves a gap between our sales team, who are responsible for closing/winning sales opportunities, and our team that handles the sales orders that result from these opportunities.
