Guide templates are graphically limiting and need simple things like background color, font, font color, back texture...to be applied. One of our largest customers refused to use MS guides because the color was blue.
We are finding the larger the corporation the more the customers want to change the background color, font and style. When we tell them...blue is it and fonts are locked and all the stuff that exists now...it immediately breaks into well...how much does it cost to build a custom app so they can have what they want. Custom app development is fine if they have the money and time but many do not want to wait that long. Not to mention we would be building a system that would compete with Guides....would MS even allow it?

So...please...just add theming.

You can use Unity markup to adjust font size, colour, bold, italics etc within a guide step.

Here's what's supported:

<b>bold</b>

<i>italic</i>

<size=x>change size</size> (though the units are confusing)

<color=#RRGGBB>change color</color>

The colour and style of the interface is designed for optimal legibility on HoloLens and is unlikley to change or allow for customization in the near term.
