A number of improvements are needed on the workflow side.

1. Many of the master records do not have proper workflow, including projects, vendors, customers, and prospects; it is really beyond our understanding.
2. Every workflow should have a task assignment feature. Let's say I submitted something, and I would like my managers to add something to the submitted record and resubmit it for approval. In D365, there is no such feature in most of the workflows. It is a poor design.
3. Different types of fields must be exposed to the workflow rather than limiting it to certain fields. All the table values must be exposed for selection.
4. Search criteria for the field within the workflow are missing, and we have to scroll through 100s records to find what we are looking for.
