Allow item attributes to be on sales documents, purchase documents, both on screen and on reports or report layouts or in their data sets

Items attributes are nice but they are so limited in what they can do. They are limited to filtering only. I would like to use them both on screen lists and on sales documents. Would be nice to allow them on the XML mapping pane in Word so we can customize how our forms print out. same for Purchase documents.
