MS Dynamics CRM 2011 does not have the full capability to send newsletters that contain HTML to marketing lists in CRM. Current content on help forums suggest to use copy and paste method onto e-mail templates.
However, based on our tests in CRM along with our discussions with our digital marketing team. MS Dynamics CRM email templates only has a basic font/style editor available. As soon as you paste HTML content into the message body, the structure of the HTML and its positioning/special fonts/styles gest lost when viewed by recipients.
See attached image for further details on the limited html editor currently used in CRM that has limitations. As a result, a product enhancement should be made to upgrade the html editor along with allowing it to handle html styles/fonts to be maintained and viewed the way it was 100% prepared in design phase.

It's ridiculous that your solution is to license another product instead of bringing long-overdue functionality to a product that is already being licensed. I guess that's the new Microsoft way. Bilk people out of money for a weak product, then add the requested functionality to an add-on product and require yet more licensing.

This is base functionality with the release of Dynamics 365 for Marketing. You can setup segments to use Marketing Lists to send out HTML newsletters.
