In most transactional windows of BC, there are drop-down list options. Items, Comments, Allocation Accounts, G/L Accounts, etc.
The ability to select [Statistical Account] as an option & then able to increase/decrease the Statistical Account with the transaction would provide a better UX for users.
- They don't go to a separate window to enter statistical amounts if/when the amounts originate from another transaction
- For historical reporting purposes, they see the Statistical Account right with the source transaction
Example use case is for tracking quantities of something being sold (so that we can easily roll that quantity into financial reports).
Comments
This is something that is used by Dynamics GP clients and they lose the ability in the migration to Business Central. Examples might be kilograms of milk solids linked with an income value, kW usage associated with power. It is different to recording in the Quantity field to get an end value. Reports might have calculations like Gross Profit percentage per KG or Tonne of Milk Solids.
