Same on all entities we've tested so far, on multiple CRM's Online and On-Prem


Create Contact with a read only field (field is read only)

deactivate the contact (field is read only still)

activate the contact (field is now editable)

close and reopen the contact record (field is read only again)


You can get around it by adding in some jScript but it shouldn't happen, bug?

Is there any feedback on this issue? Users are still able to make changes to inactive records, read-only fields and business rules are being ignored. It's been 5 years already, please can we get a solution for this.

Also noticed that the Business Rules do the same, they are ignored in the same way. Not good.
