Currently showmycode is set to false for the System Application for both onpremise and saas. I understand the need for this on SaaS to hide/protect secrets from the VS Code debugger (e.g. azure key vaults), but it does interfere with onpremise developers who need to dive into an object that lives in the System Application.
This makes discoverability difficult for System App objects and events.
Showmycode=true would be an immediate benefit to the onpremise community (at least it would buy time that Microsoft would need to leverage the new procedure scoping mechanisms in BC15/16 over time and eventually make the system app showmycode=true for both onpremise and saas).

Thank you for your feedback. We are going to release an update in version 19.1 of Business Central, where you will be able to "Go to definition", even though debugging still is prohibited.
