Hello everyone.
It looks like we hit a big issue due to a lack of Microsoft understanding of how we can keep scalable configurations in Real Time Marketing.
We have an Outbound scoring model that has more than 10 conditions, we need to leverage the new capabilities that allow scoring based on related records, actions, etc and that's why we are using Lead Scoring Models in RTM.
Due setting set at the environment level "Allow Business Units across records", Microsoft support concluded that it is by design that the RTM Model demands the selection of a Business Unit, even if the same setting is not set at the Marketing level nor is required for other objects in Real-Time Marketing or Outbound. Also the documentation misleads this, mentioning "(in case it applies)" which, is not optional. Is required.

That being said, we require ASAP removing this required field if the environment has the feature enabled and respects the application setting which doesn't demand the usage of a Business Unit.
The impact of blocking the usage of a lead score per business unit demands a huge amount of hours to configure, maintain, and test, which is not a blocker in current Outbound.
