When we create customized forms, CRM will only present the primary field (English) in the view and look up options
• Any hyperlink to the actual form (from a look-up) can only be on the primary field (English).
We have discussed using bilingual names in the primary field, but have decided against this for a couple of reasons:
• The English and French descriptions in CRM drive what is presented to our external customers on the portal: if a customer signs in to the portal in English, they see the English descriptions; if they sign into the portal in French, they see the French descriptions. Having some bilingual descriptions in the mix is not the optimal customer experience.
• Bi-lingual labels become very long and can end up being truncated by the system
