Our client is a pharmaceutical manufacturer. We are using best before dates to track when an item cannot be sold to the market anymore. Moreover, we are using demand forecasts (4 years) and "Shelf life" in MRP to plan replenishments when on-hand reaches it's best before date.

Pharmaceuticals may not be sell to patients/to the market after their best before or expiry date, however they may still be sold as samples to hospitals or to institutes for trials and research.

Currently selling items that have reached their best before or expiry date to hospitals/institutes is quite cumbersome. They need to manually change the dates on the batch, move it to a manually covered warehouse and sell it from there.

It would be nice if D365 would allow an expectation process for selling batches past their best before or expiry date (i.e. Warning instead of hard-stop, Ignoring validation on customer/sales order level, ...).
