It is only possible to have one text on a button on the POS. It would save A LOT of maintenance if it were possible to have translations on the text on the buttons. Now we have to create one screen layout per country/language, but most of the time the settings/images are the same – only the text on the button needs a translation.
We have customers with 30 different languages – it requires way to many screen layouts…

yes Florian, that is what i mean. so a string-ID with a translation table.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think what Louise wants it to have string-IDs instead of a fixed text per button. Using string-IDs would give the flexibility to have just one layout for all languages. Currently, since the text is fixed and language independant, you Need to have multiple Screen Layouts - for each language an own layout, since the Buttons do not automatically translate into the worker language.

Thank you for your input. It's true that localizing tile text is a fair bit of manual effort, but at this point, we're prioritizing capabilities for which there's no workaround or ability to customize for.
