As we in most other areas are urged to use the latest versions of Visual Studio and other tools, including the Dynamics platform itself, it is quite counter productive to still have to dig up some old version of Visual Studio to be able to develop reports for the current version of Dynamics 365.

A focus to deprecate old versions and supporting new versions instead would make the developers' lives a lot easier.
