Currently the batch balancing process only works for active ingredients where formula unit of measure equals the inventory unit of measure. Reason is a design limitation where the reserved quantity (inventory UoM) needs to be equal with the formula based required quantity (formula UoM). As the software does not apply a unit conversion when matching both quantities, the whole process only works as long as units of measure for formula line and inventory are the same.
The idea would be:
To include inventory UoM transformation for the matching of both quantities. This would then allow to use different UoMs for inventory and formula line.
As Dynamics only provides two decimal on inventory UoM and batch balancing usually takes place based on weight, having the possibility to differ between formula and inventory UoM would help.
