The task assignee should be notified. If a task is assigned to a group, all members of the group should be notified.
Today it is not possible to build your own flow for notifications: checklist tasks are not in CDS. And only onboarding tasks have a DMF data entity, not transition an offboarding tasks.

Is there any update on this (e.g. whether it will be implemented, when will be available)?
Even if Flow or other approach can be used, this should have been a standard feature.
Ideal it would be to receive a daily/bidaily email (e.g. morning and/or noon) with an overview of the new or due tasks (e.g 3 new tasks, 10 tasks due in the next 3 days, 12 tasks due in total) with a link to the system. Probably there's no need to receive emails if there are no tasks.
Sending an email for each change is a good idea only when the number of tasks is neglectable, otherwise the email box can easily become flooded.
Many thanks!
Best regards.

This functionality is still very important, and we really need this to be implemented. All employees does not go in to HR every day, or even every week, so to be able to set up an email notification on assigned tasks and overdue tasks that comes from the checklists is very much needed. All customers I talk to is asking why this is not possible yet.
As stated over, these tasks are not on CDS, so it is not possible to set it up through PowerAutomate. And it really should be a built-in possibility.

If you created a Flow connector for Talent, alert rules could be created that would do this. Enabling the Flow with Business Events enables so many scenarios.
