In Dynamics 365, when a sales quote is converted into a sales order, the original quote number is retained in the order record. However, this quote number is not currently searchable or visible in the Search Company Data feature. This limits traceability and makes it harder for users to audit or track the lifecycle of a sale.

I’d like to suggest that Microsoft enhance Search Company Data to include the quote number as a searchable field—even after the quote has been converted into an order. This would improve usability, streamline workflows, and support better reporting and customer service.
