When a customer order is being fulfilled at POS, the system is performing a credit check during transaction conclusion, where the real-time call to HQ saves the order & creates the invoice. This is happening whether 100% deposit has been previously taken on the order, or if the fulfillment transaction was fully tendered to a cash transaction type (cash/cheque/credit card etc.)

I have TrackingID#2210220010000018 for this issue and the response from the engineers is that this is by design, and that if we think the system should behave differently then we should make a suggestion.

I don't think it's unreasonable to think that a POS system should not check the customer's credit status if the order fulfillment is not being tendered to the customer's account, or if the order has already been fully funded by a deposit. We have a lot of customers without UFA credit, are at or near their established credit limit, or are on COD status with us because of prior credit issues. We cannot take risks with our customers' credit.

Crazy idea over here - how about we only check customer credit if the order is being tendered to the customer's account??
