If you have a boolean field on the form in 2 places with different formats (check box & radio button) if you update the field which is toward the bottom of the form, after saving the focus will jump to the control which is higher on the page. If both fields are formatted the same this behavior does not happen.

REPRO:

Use the OOB Account form and add a number of empty tabs to the form to give it some length.
Add one of the OOB email contact preference fields to the last section - format the field as radio buttons.
Ensure the same field is added near the top of the form and is formatted as a check box.
Save and publish.
Edit an existing record, set the value on the bottom most field.
After the form saves it will jump back to the same field closer to the top of the form.
