The earnings, benefit and tax code forms all have the ability to select a Project Category to be used on Earnings and Pay statements but the main G/L account only pulls from the Accounting tab Main account field selected on that related earnings, benefit or tax code setup tab. If a Project and Project Category is selected on an Earnings Statement then the Main G/L from the earnings, benefit or tax codes should reach into the Main G/L account setup on the selected Project Category instead of just pulling the Main account from the Accounting tab of the earnings, benefit or tax code. This would provide the option to post Project related company benefit and tax contribution expenses to different Main G/L accounts than Non-Project related company benefit and tax contribution expenses. Project related expenses are often classified as cost of sales, where Non-Project related expenses are classified as SG&A expenses.
