Accessing the Explore All feature should be related to the User or to the Profile.I would be happy if we have the option to set it on the User Settings List or on the Profile List.

It would be useful to have the option of setting access to the button via a permission

Please give administrator an option to hide the "explore all" menu for assigned user because no matter how hard we customize the page or set the permission. User still able to see the menu available by just one click on the explore all. This give administrator hard times to keep explaining to management and user why the menu is available but unable to access. The best solution suggested would be giving a function checklist for the function to be access rather now need to set the permission set by Object Type then Object ID then Permission "Blank = no access", "Indirect", "Yes". This is totally making the administrator crazy whenever after set causing the user to hit error message "You do not have the following Permission" The time spent to solving the error message "You do not have the following permission" is tremendous especially the operation user want to generate order immediately!!I sincerely hope Microsoft could seriously consider the option to hide the "explore all" menu in system page and also seriously consider to come out a function checklist for permission set to control the function can be using by assigned user.Thank you for spending time to read thru our request,

I am the end user of Microsoft Business Central. My company migrated to Business Central on 28th Nov, Monday. On Friday, to my surprise, everyone who has access to the system can read the company Bank Account balance and the Chart of Account. What went wrong? Is this Microsoft Business Central product issues or the implementation issues?

I also agreeIn Acumatica, one can also disable what a user can see or do, by disabling where that user can click, like on Menu items. You simply do a "by-screen", permissions disabling or enable. An UI based way to do permissions.Stunning further enhancement to the only roles & permissions on tables and fields.A super nice option for the ERP ADMINISTRATOR is to be able to stand on a user's record and click on a "Log in As" button to simulate "as that user".Stunning way to test Roles & Permissions Also a stunning way to test or complete a Work Flow test, simulated as that user.

Definitely Agree,Working with Permissions in business central is frustrating and impossible to cover all pages/tables...Removing Explore all button should be available .

Totally agreed. I hope that Microsoft will grant this request

I have worked on Business Central and we use to ask me this request. Most of the time companies just surrender to fully limited access as they previously wanted and this create frustration.
I think is a necessary uptade and i firmly convinced that it will be. The sooner is the best

I'm an entrepreneur and we are implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. After setting up starting parameters we are working on permission. We don't want to let to much access to company's informations for all the employees. So we've taking time to work on permission. But for a simple transaction we have to give many indirect permissions.
We can manage all the access with permissions and personalization but it's impossible without hiding or removing "Explore all"

Yes ! We should hide this button with personalization or with deactivation in the profil (role) list

Business Central Team (administrator)
Thank you for this suggestion! Currently this is not on our roadmap. We are tracking this idea and if it gathers more votes and comments we will consider it in the future.
Best regards,
