Idea Description

Currently, when a user saves a personal view in Dynamics 365 after applying a keyword in the Quick Search box, the keyword remains in the search box even after the view is saved. This behavior is by design to preserve context, but it can cause confusion for users who expect the search box to reset.

Customer Expectation:

After saving a personal view, the Quick Search box should clear automatically, so the saved view reflects only the defined filters and not the temporary keyword.

Proposed Enhancement:

Introduce an option (or default behavior) to auto-clear the Quick Search box after saving a personal view. This will:

  • Improve clarity for users who rely on filter-based views.
  • Prevent unintended persistence of search terms.
  • Provide a cleaner experience when switching between views.
